Tough light that does what its supposed toIve had cheaper weapon lights before and they always rattled loose or flickered after a few range sessions, not this one. The TLR-1S has been on my pistol for months and has not budged once, zero movement, zero flicker even after putting a few hundred rounds through it. The strobe function is something I tested in my garage and let me tell you it is DISORIENTING even knowing its coming, really impressed by that. One thing I noticed is it doesnt play nice with every single rail out there, had a buddy try it on his older gen gun and the fit wasnt perfect, so just double check compatibility before you buy. But for me it was plug and play and I wouldnt swap it for anything in this price range.
Rock solid fit with no loosening after heavy use
Strobe mode adds a serious defensive advantageCompatibility can be hit or miss on older generation pistols

Well made, High QualityThese are high quality, well made weapons lights that are as well made as some of the more expensive lights and as bright! They mount securely under your pistol and light up the night clearly enough to allow you to make that critical decision to Shoot or Not Shoot! With that kind of decision in the balance one can't afford a mistake due to poor lighting. As well made and bright as my Surefire but only a 3rd the price Overall excellent weapons light RemMax

Extremely bright and ruggedI bought one of these for my handguns several years ago after buying a different brand for my rifle and paying 3 times as much. At first I was unsure if I was going to like this light and unsure what quality to expect. I'm happy to say that as soon as I received my light I was pleased and after installing batteries and turning it on I was even more pleased. It fits under the barrel of all my guns well enough (I don't own any "sub compacts) but under my Springfield XD45 and similar hand guns it fits nicely. The beam is very bright and focused and it is better on battery life than some of the more expensive light on the market. Overall I have been quite pleased with the service this light has provided me, I have had mine now for approx 5 years and carried it many times when out late in the evening or after dark and it has yet to fail me. The switch on the rear makes it easy to access so a wire and button are not needed for handgun use. While I have a Surefire I bought previously to this one for use on my rifles I am sure this light would perform equally as well on a rifle or carbine as it does on my handgun. Overall a quality light at a affordable price. RemMax
