Shotguns
Mossberg 500 • 590 • FLEX • Pump-Action • FFL Transfer
Tactical and home-defense pump-action shotguns — primarily Mossberg 500, 590, and FLEX series — transferred through your local FFL dealer, plus the deepest supporting catalog of Mossberg parts, accessories, and 12-gauge ammunition. From the budget-priced 500 Persuader to the high-spec 590A1 military-pattern pump and the FLEX 500 Tactical with Mossberg's tool-less stock-swap system, our shotgun catalog is built for shooters who want a serious home-defense or tactical pump — not a hunting or trap-and-skeet sporting shotgun.
Shotguns at Keep Shooting
Keep Shooting is an FFL dealer carrying a focused tactical and home-defense shotgun selection — primarily Mossberg 500, 590, FLEX 500, and 930 pump-action and semi-auto shotguns — plus the supporting catalog of Mossberg parts, Remington 870 parts, and the full shotgun ammunition catalog. New-firearm purchases ship to your selected local FFL dealer for the standard ATF Form 4473 background check and transfer; parts, accessories, and ammunition ship directly from our US warehouse.
In-Stock Mossberg Pump Shotguns
Current shotgun inventory centers on the Mossberg 500 family — the workhorse American pump-action shotgun design that has been in continuous production since 1961. The Mossberg FLEX 500 Tactical introduces the company's tool-less stock and forend swap system — the same receiver accepts pistol-grip, full-stock, or six-position adjustable stock configurations without an armorer's tool, useful for shooters who want a single shotgun that adapts between home-defense configuration and range training. The 500SP Persuader Pistol-Grip Package ships with both the standard stock and the ATI Top-Folder pistol-grip stock for shooters who want the option to run pistol-grip-only when the application calls for it. The standard 500SP Persuader 20-inch is the budget-tier home-defense pump — ghost-ring or bead sights, 20-inch barrel for maneuverability indoors, 7+1 capacity (with 2.75″ shells), and the same Mossberg receiver that has run reliably for sixty-plus years. Browse the broader Mossberg shotgun collection for the 500 Cruiser, 500 SPX, 500 Tactical Tri-Rail, 590 Special Purpose, and 590A1 variants we stock alongside the 4 main-category listings.
Mossberg 590 & 590A1 Military-Spec Pumps
The Mossberg 590 family is Mossberg's military-grade pump shotgun — the 590 was selected by the US Marine Corps in 1987 to replace the Vietnam-era Remington 870, and the 590A1 variant is the heavy-walled all-metal-trigger-group version that meets the Mil-Spec MIL-S-3443 standard. We stock the 590A1 in standard and law-enforcement configurations, plus the 590 Special Purpose variants and the 590 Shockwave / 590 Cruiser non-NFA “firearms” (legally classified as “firearm” not “shotgun” due to never-stocked configuration with overall length above 26 inches). For the 590A1 SBS short-barrel military-pattern shotgun and other federally-regulated short-barrel configurations, see the NFA short-barrel shotgun category — these require ATF Form 4 registration and the $200 transfer tax.
Shotgun Parts & Accessories
For shooters who already own a shotgun or want to upgrade an existing pump, we carry the complete Mossberg parts catalog (replacement triggers, magazine extensions, Phoenix Technology fore-ends, ATI stocks, heat-shield kits, ghost-ring sight assemblies, and shot-shell carriers) plus Remington 870 parts for the other dominant American pump shotgun platform. Cross-link laser sights and accessories with the Crimson Trace LaserSaddle for both the Mossberg 500 / 590 and the Remington 870.
Shotgun Ammunition
The shotgun ammunition catalog complements the firearm side — 12 gauge buckshot, slugs, mini-shells, and birdshot in 2.75″ and 3″ loadings from Federal (the patented TruBall slug, copper-plated buckshot, reduced-recoil home-defense buckshot, and the unique 1.75″ Shorty mini-shell that doubles tube-fed pump capacity), Winchester, Fiocchi, and Sellier & Bellot. For .410 bore (the Taurus Judge / Smith & Wesson Governor revolver market) we carry Federal Premium .410 handgun shotshells in 000 buckshot. For shooters interested in the less-lethal shotgun option (rubber baton, rubber buckshot, and Byrna Kinetic kinetic- energy projectiles), see the dedicated less-lethal ammo category.
FFL Transfer Process
New-shotgun purchases on this site ship to your designated local FFL dealer, who handles the ATF Form 4473 background check and transfers the shotgun to you in person. Choose your local FFL during checkout and pay the dealer's standard transfer fee (typically $25–$50) when you pick up the shotgun. Federal law requires this in-person transfer for any long-gun shipment across state lines — Keep Shooting follows it strictly. NFA-regulated shotguns (short-barrel shotguns, suppressed shotguns, AOW configurations) follow a separate ATF Form 4 process with a $200 transfer tax; see the NFA shotgun category for those listings. Parts, magazine extensions, accessories, and ammunition are not regulated under the same framework and ship directly from our warehouse.
