Features
- Pealess Tornado Design — Internal chamber eliminates the traditional pea, so the whistle won't freeze, jam, or fail when wet.
- Tri-Frequency Output — Two high-pitched frequencies cut through background noise while a third lower pitch carries over distance for pinpoint location.
- 117 dB Signal — Powerful sound output rivals industrial sirens and is loud enough for marine, mountain, and wilderness signaling.
- Slimline Low-Profile Body — Flat 2" x 3/4" x 3/8" shape sits comfortably under a shirt, in a pocket, or on a neck lanyard without bulk.
- Patented Top-Venting System — Vent placement prevents accidental sound blocking when the whistle is gripped tightly in the hand during use.
- Integrated Keyring Loop — Built-in attachment point accepts a split ring, lanyard, or zipper pull for instant retention on gear or PFD.
- Lightweight Polymer Construction — Tips the scales at roughly 0.1 oz so you'll never notice it in a kit, pocket, or chest rig.
- FIFA, SOLAS, and Mountain Rescue Approved — Trusted by major sporting leagues and adopted for safety signaling by SOLAS marine standards and UK Mountain Rescue.
- Made in England — Manufactured by ACME Whistles, the original inventor of the pealess whistle, in Birmingham, England.
- Matte Black Finish — Non-reflective black body keeps a low signature on tactical and outdoor kit.

Louder Than My Fox 40 and Half the SizeI've gone through probably a dozen different signal whistles over the years.....Fox 40 Classic, Fox 40 Micro, Storm whistles, even a brass ACME Thunderer that I still love for nostalgia reasons. This little 636 Slimline Tornado absolutely punches above its weight class. The pealess design means no moving parts to freeze up or get jammed with debris, which matters when you're carrying it on a pack strap through rain and mud. At 117+ dB with that tri-frequency trill, it cuts through wind noise way better than the Fox 40 Micro which is a similar size. ACME's been making whistles in England for over 150 years and you can tell they know what they're doing... the top venting system means you can't accidentally muffle it by wrapping your hand around it while blowing. I keep one clipped to my hiking pack, one on my keychain, and bought two more as spares because at this price why not. The slim profile slides right into a front pocket without any weird bulge. Honestly the best signal whistle per dollar you can buy right now imo.
Incredibly loud for such a small whistle
Pealess design works in any weather, no parts to jam
Slim enough to actually carry every day
